Hi, I’m Jess!

I struggled for years ruminating in negative thoughts, unpredictable emotions, resentment, triggers, alcohol use and so much more! The more I felt out of alignment with true self, but more life was throwing me disappointment after disappointment, my health was declining, my relationships, parenting, and career were suffering and my behaviors were not always a point of pride. I felt stuck in many areas of my life and knew I needed a change, but no matter how hard I tried, I kept repeating many of the same patterns.

I tried traditional therapy, which absolutely has a time and place, but something was missing for me. I didn’t have a diagnosed mental health disorder, I was told I was fine, but I knew I wanted something different. I wanted more than to just talk about what was bothering me, but feel resolved in the issues, get guidance on how to take more actionable change toward the things I did want and feel like my authentic self again.

I hired a couple of coaches for specialized areas that were key issues for me and finally started seeing some momentum in the changes I wanted to make, but things really took off for me when I heard about the Institute of Coaching Mastery and their integrative approach. I knew that I not only wanted to get coached myself with this methodology but that I wanted to learn how to facilitate the techniques to help others as well.

While I certainly still get triggered sometimes and my own inner work will be an ongoing journey, my relationship with the triggers and reactions have changed significantly and have so much love and compassion for myself. I now understand that I can’t think my way out of a feeling and push myself (or others) to do more as the way to change. I have tools to regulate my nervous system, insource my own emotional needs, find balance and take surrendered action towards the life I want to live. Coaching has helped me feel more connected with my truest, most authentic self than I probably ever have been and get my light back.

Outside of coaching, I’m also a working mom, an aspiring writer and live in Rainier, Oregon.
